Mornings are now filled with songbird chatter, a sure sign that good weather is coming! Le Nichoir’s Wild Bird Helpline is receiving more calls, and bird admissions are on the rise.
While our team anxiously waits for the busy season to arrive, we are looking for new volunteers to give a hand. Most importantly, we need bird-care volunteers to help on a weekly basis for 4 hours a week. We also need help transporting birds, staffing La Boutique du Nichoir, gardening, as well as sourcing and delivering groceries. To celebrate the return of our birds from their winter homes, we will be hosting a family-friendly Migratory Bird Day at Le Nichoir on May 4th as part of Nature Canada’s Bird-Friendly City program. We hope to see you there!
