Single Gift
Many wild bird populations are in decline and in need of help. A donation to Le Nichoir shows your pledge to support wild bird conservation, and allows our team to do what we do best: take care of wild birds in need.
Examples of our activities include providing medical care to a fledgling American Robin with a broken wing caused by flying into a window and to a juvenile Blue Heron entangled in fishing gear.

Monthly donors are an invaluable part of the Le Nichoir community. By giving monthly donations, you not only support our immediate needs, but also allow us to plan ahead and set long-term goals.
With our center receiving a greater number of wild birds every year, the steady and reliable source of support provided by monthly donations becomes all the more indispensable.

In honour
Every gift to Le Nichoir goes directly towards the conservation of wild birds.
Is there an avid nature lover or bird lover in your life deserving of recognition? Now you can show your appreciation with a donation to Le Nichoir on their behalf.
An “In Honour” donation is a great way to acknowledge someone special while supporting an important cause. Upon making a donation in honour, we will email you a tribute card that you can send to let them know a donation has been made in their honour.
You might also choose to commemorate an event or special occasion, such as a wedding anniversary or birthday, with an “In Honour” donation.
An “In Honour” gift supports Le Nichoir’s bird care and education programs and funds the Wild Bird Helpline.
In Memory
A gift “In Memory” is a meaningful way of commemorating the loss of someone special or of showing your support for a family who has lost a loved one while helping Le Nichoir continue its work caring for wild birds in need.
Upon making a donation in memory, we will email you a tribute card that you can forward to the next of kin to let them know a donation has been made to Le Nichoir in their honour.
Corporate Giving
Corporate donations play a unique role in helping companies connect with local non-profits in actively supporting initiatives aligned with their business ethic. Le Nichoir is fortunate to have several donors who support our wild bird conservation and environmental education work. Many businesses also match donations their employees make to Le Nichoir.

Gift of Publicly-traded Securities
A gift of publicly-traded securities is an attractive option for many donors.
When you make a gift to Le Centre de Réhabilitation Le Nichoir by transferring shares bonds, or mutual funds listed on a public stock exchange from your investment portfolio, you do not pay capital gains tax. You also receive a charitable tax receipt based on the asset’s fair market value.

Donation of supplies
Le Nichoir is always in need of donations of materials and services!
In-kind donations are a source of much-needed support for our bird care and education programs and help us to reduce our overall operating costs. Some of these donations are even tax-deductible.
Some examples of useful materials and services:
Professional services (electrician, plumber, contractor, printing)
Bird food (fruit, berries, seeds, insect pate, cat food, fish)
Cleaning products (bleach, laundry detergent, Lysol, Kleenex tissue)
Office supplies (100% recycled paper, pens, erasable markers)
Outdoor equipment (new rope, gardening tools, new plywood)

Recycle a Car
It might sound strange but it’s true. Your old vehicle can benefit Le Nichoir!
Donate A Car Canada, an organization that auctions and recycles old vehicles, now accepts vehicle donations for Le Nichoir.
How does it work?
Donate your RV, boat, motorcycle or other vehicle to Le Nichoir through Donate A Car Canada.
You can benefit from free towing in many areas across Canada. Or, if you wish to maximize your donation, you can drop off the vehicle yourself. It will either be recycled or sold at auction depending on its condition, age and location.
Donate A Car Canada looks after all the details, ensuring Le Nichoir receives the funds once your vehicle donation is complete.
Within 45 days, you’ll receive a tax receipt from Le Nichoir for the amount
