\"Journ\u00e9eLe 13 juillet dernier, le ciel nous a gratifi\u00e9s d\u2019un temps si ensoleill\u00e9 qu\u2019une atmosph\u00e8re de carnaval a r\u00e9gn\u00e9 tout au long de la journ\u00e9e porte ouverte du centre. Plus de 400 personnes ont pris part \u00e0 l\u2019\u00e9v\u00e9nement et particip\u00e9 avec plaisir \u00e0 d\u2019utiles exp\u00e9riences d\u2019apprentissage pratique qui les mettaient en contact avec la nature. Elles \u00e9taient offertes par Le Nichoir et par nos formidables exposants. <\/p>\n

Les ateliers d\u2019artisanat et de peinture faciale ont fonctionn\u00e9 sans rel\u00e2che \u2013 les chaises ne d\u00e9semplissaient pas. Les b\u00e9n\u00e9voles ont peut-\u00eatre peint quelques \u00ab oiseaux \u00bb m\u00e9contents, mais il y eut aussi beaucoup de papillons sur des visages joyeux. J\u2019ai m\u00eame vu quelques adultes se faire peindre le visage !<\/p>\n

Christopher Cloutier, de l\u2019Arboretum Morgan, a conduit un d\u00e9fil\u00e9 d\u2019enfants et d\u2019adultes excit\u00e9s \u2013 arm\u00e9s de jumelles et d\u2019appareils photographiques \u2013 lors de deux fantastiques promenades d\u2019observation ornithologique. Nous avons aussi eu la chance d\u2019avoir l\u2019auteure et artiste locale Catherine McNamee, qui nous a lu des extraits de ses merveilleux livres pour enfants. <\/p>\n

Aviez-vous soif ? De d\u00e9licieux jus d\u2019orange ou de pamplemousse de Minus 40 Foods \u00e9taient vendus 50 cents seulement par les charmantes Guides d\u2019Hudson. Aviez-vous faim ? Les gars du BBQ vous tendaient votre trio de hot dogs – merci IGA Poirier et fils de Hudson.<\/p>\n

Il y eut aussi de magnifiques prix \u00e0 la tombola ! <\/p>\n

Fiou ! Journ\u00e9e bien remplie pour les enfants ! Comment mieux la finir qu\u2019\u00e0 l\u2019ombre d\u2019un arbre, en \u00e9coutant une histoire, une sucette glac\u00e9e \u00e0 la main ? \u00c7a vous semble idyllique ? Ce le fut !<\/p>\n

Une immense ovation pour nos extraordinaires b\u00e9n\u00e9voles et membres du personnel : votre professionnalisme et votre engagement sont vraiment inspirants. Le succ\u00e8s de l\u2019\u00e9v\u00e9nement vous est d\u00fb ! <\/p>\n
