Elle va consid\u00e9rablement am\u00e9liorer le taux de survie des quelque 1500 oiseaux bless\u00e9s qu\u2019il re\u00e7oit chaque ann\u00e9e.<\/p>\n<p>L\u2019ach\u00e8vement de cette voli\u00e8re de pointe, en novembre 2013, va demeurer un moment important de notre centre \u2013 le premier au Canada en ce qui concerne la r\u00e9habilitation des oiseaux chanteurs \u2013 car elle est sp\u00e9cialement con\u00e7ue pour aider les oiseaux bless\u00e9s \u00e0 voler de nouveau. Mais c\u2019est aussi une \u00e9tape essentielle qui rapproche Le Nichoir de son objectif ultime : un centre de conservation d\u2019oiseaux sauvages tout neuf.<\/p>\n<p>Comme l\u2019explique la directrice g\u00e9n\u00e9rale du Nichoir, la biologiste Susan Wylie : \u00ab Les voli\u00e8res jouent un r\u00f4le crucial dans le processus de r\u00e9habilitation. \u00bb<!--more--><\/p>\n<p>\u00ab Elles permettent aux oiseaux de d\u00e9velopper les muscles de vol indispensables \u00e0 leur migration et \u00e0 leur survie dans la nature. D\u00e8s qu\u2019ils sont assez forts pour voler et se nourrir seuls, ils peuvent \u00eatre rel\u00e2ch\u00e9s en toute s\u00e9curit\u00e9 dans leur environnement naturel et y rejoindre ceux de leur esp\u00e8ce. \u00bb<\/p>\n<p>Cette indispensable voli\u00e8re a \u00e9t\u00e9 termin\u00e9e gr\u00e2ce \u00e0 la g\u00e9n\u00e9rosit\u00e9 de plusieurs donateurs, parmi lesquels LUSH Cosm\u00e9tiques frais faits \u00e0 la main, la Fondation TD des amis de l\u2019environnement, la Fondation Greygates, la Hagen Family Foundation et la famille McOuat ont fait preuve d\u2019une grande g\u00e9n\u00e9rosit\u00e9.<\/p>\n<p>Sa conception particuli\u00e8re correspond aux besoins des 1000 et quelques oiseaux chanteurs et insectivores soign\u00e9s chaque ann\u00e9e au Nichoir (soit environ 75 % des 1500 oiseaux admis) : ils en seront donc les principaux b\u00e9n\u00e9ficiaires. Mais elle jouera aussi un r\u00f4le essentiel dans le nouveau centre de conservation des oiseaux sauvages ouvert \u00e0 l\u2019ann\u00e9e, pour lequel ont  d\u00e9j\u00e0 \u00e9t\u00e9 recueillis 50 % des fonds n\u00e9cessaires \u00e0 sa construction.<\/p>\n<p>Depuis la fondation du Nichoir, en 1996, plus de 14 000 oiseaux y ont \u00e9t\u00e9 soign\u00e9s ; or la capacit\u00e9 de la nouvelle voli\u00e8re permettra de r\u00e9habiliter, et donc de rel\u00e2cher \u00e9ventuellement dans la nature, un plus grand nombre d\u2019oiseaux chanteurs et insectivores \u2013 dont des esp\u00e8ces menac\u00e9es.<\/p>\n<p>L\u2019ach\u00e8vement de cette voli\u00e8re indique clairement que Le Nichoir n\u2019aura de cesse que son nouveau centre de r\u00e9habilitation de pointe ne voit le jour \u2013 et ce sera un \u00e9v\u00e9nement qui fera date dans la r\u00e9gion d\u2019Hudson et de Vaudreuil-Soulanges.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Cette nouvelle voli\u00e8re est une \u00e9tape essentielle vers un centre  [&#8230;]<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":1,"featured_media":0,"comment_status":"closed","ping_status":"open","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"footnotes":"","_members_access_role":[],"_members_access_error":""},"categories":[108],"tags":[141,138,139,149,145],"class_list":["post-2396","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","hentry","category-nouvelles","tag-aviary-fr","tag-lush-fr","tag-new-centre-fr","tag-td-friends-of-the-environment-fr","tag-voliere-fr"],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO plugin v28.4 -
