What should I do if I find a wild bird entangled in a fishing line or string?

String, fishing line, or even cobwebs or human hair can impede a bird’s ability to move around and cause serious constriction injuries with time. Do not remove the string yourself, especially if it is imbedded in skin or tissue. If the bird is badly tangled, you can snip the string in a few places to make transport a little more comfortable then bring the bird to Le Nichoir.
