What are Le Nichoir’s hours of operation?
Le Nichoir is open from 9am to 5pm seven days a week. We are only closed on Christmas day (December 25th) and New Years day (January 1st).
Can I drop a bird at the door when Le Nichoir is closed?
If you arrive at Le Nichoir when the centre is closed please do not leave a bird outside of our front door in a box. The bird will be attacked by wild predators.
No appointment is needed to bring Le Nichoir a wild bird and drop-ins are accepted from 9:00 to 17:00.

Social media is used to post educational posts about wild birds, upcoming events and Le Nichoir’s needs. Le Nichoir does not reply to comments regularly. Do not leave a message or comment about an injured bird on Le Nichoir’s social media as it may not be replied to.
Can I visit Le Nichoir?
Le Nichoir is not allowed to have visitors on site due to its licensing except for in La Boutique du Nichoir and the classroom. We are not allowed to put wild birds in rehabilitation on display to people. Not allowing visitors also reduces the risks of disease transmission and the birds becoming either friendly or stressed by people. Le Nichoir is a wild bird hospital, with sick and scared patients. Having visitors adds unnecessary stress on avian patients, which can delay their recovery.
Does Le Nichoir have a store?
La Boutique du Nichoir can be found onsite at 637 Main, Hudson or online at https://boutique.lenichoir.org/. Boutique du Nichoir offers a variety of merchandise including products to help reduce window collisions, bird feeders, bird feed, nature and bird themed gifts and kitchenware, children and adult books, games and puzzles. New items are regularly being added to the Boutique. Proceeds from the Boutique helps support Le Nichoir’s bird care and environment education programs.
