In 2011, Le Nichoir admitted a special patient, an Atlantic puffin that had arrived in Montreal from Newfoundland in a shipping container. This puffin quickly captured the hearts of those who cared for him, making such an impression, that Frank Hicks, Le Nichoir director emeritus, authored a booked in its honour. “Pugsley the Peculiar Puffin” is now available to passengers on Air Canada flights!
