In 2011, Le Nichoir admitted a special patient, an Atlantic puffin that had arrived in a very unusual fashion. This puffin quickly captured the hearts of those who cared for him, making such an impression, that Frank Hicks, Le Nichoir director emeritus, authored a booked in its honour.
On Sunday July 23rd Frank will offer an outdoor reading at Le Nichoir of Pugsley the Peculiar Puffin, a children’s book based on the true story of a wayward puffin from Newfoundland Canada that somehow landed in the big city of Montreal. Copies of Pugsley the Peculiar Puffin can be purchased at Le Nichoir’s store, La Plume Verte.
